Caddius Finch Files Signs with Nat 1

More Exciting News: The first two books in the Caddius Finch Files series finds a home with Nat 1 Publishing!

I am excited to officially post (because I’ve already posted on the socials and newsletter, but then forgot to make this post) that the first two books in my Caddius Finch Files steampunk detective series, Machines and Imposter, have been picked up by the weird and wacky team at Nat 1 Publishing.

From their website: Here at Nat 1 Publishing, we like the strange, quirky, and unique. Our origins were the product of a string of jokes and shitposts that went too far; they went so far that half a dozen novellas later we thought, “Well, damn. Might as well legitimize this monstrosity.”

I think Special Detective Caddius Finch and his tales will fit in nicely with the rest of their catalogue.

This awesome news is off the back of my conspiracy thriller, Armour, also gaining a contract with a small independent publisher. These are the baby steps that I hope will lead to bigger and better things.

Some people might wonder why a crime conspiracy thriller author suddenly veered into writing a steampunk detective novel. Honestly, it’s a fair question. I just wish I had a truly legitimate answer. The truth? A friend of mine was dabbling in period romance, and during a casual chapter swap, I fell hard for the language, the rhythm, the sheer style of it all. And, well, I couldn’t help myself.

What started as curiosity turned into a creative detour I didn’t know I needed. There was something liberating about building a world from scratch, one with brass gears, foggy alleyways, and a touch of whimsy. It gave me room to stretch as a writer and to explore something a little more nuanced than my usual fare.

With the third book in the series (Rebellion) with my editor and new covers to be created, I hope you drop by and pick up the Caddius Finch Files tale, of a Big City Catcher who uncovers a conspiracy to topple a nation.
